Krantz Strategies Welcomes Sam Walsh as Communications & Creative Strategist

There is a lot that goes into great communications work. The right strategy matters. So does the ability to bring that strategy to life in ways that make people stop, pay attention and understand why it matters.

That is why we are excited to welcome Sam Walsh to Krantz Strategies as our new Communications & Creative Strategist.

Sam brings a wide-ranging creative skillset that includes graphic design, photography, videography, animation, social media and visual storytelling. Just as importantly, she is a strategic thinker who understands that good creative work starts with understanding the audience, the client and what we are ultimately trying to accomplish.

“Sam is incredibly talented, but what really stood out to me is the way she thinks,” said Meredith Krantz, president and CEO of Krantz Strategies. “She reads between the lines. She understands what a client needs, sometimes before they know exactly how to articulate it, and she has that ‘figure it out’ mindset that is so important in our work. Her skillset complements mine and makes our entire team stronger.”

Sam joins Krantz Strategies at an exciting point in the firm’s growth. As our clients and projects have grown, so has the opportunity to bring more of the creative process in-house.

With Sam on the team, we can take more of our clients’ work from strategy through execution under one roof. That means the people developing the message and communications strategy are working side by side with the person bringing it to life visually, whether through a social campaign, photography, video, presentation, digital content or brand materials.

For clients, that means fewer handoffs, a more seamless process and creative work that is grounded in the strategy from the beginning. It also gives us the ability to look across an organization’s communications and think more holistically about how all the pieces can work together.

And it gives us more room to push good ideas further.

“We are building a strong team, but we are intentionally staying nimble,” Krantz said. “I never want to lose the ability to pick up the phone, solve a problem quickly or really know what is happening with a client. Adding Sam gives us another incredibly capable person at the table while expanding what we can create together.”

Throughout her career, Sam has worked across nonprofit, public relations, education, professional sports and entertainment. She has developed hundreds of marketing and communications pieces and created everything from brand identities and publications to photography, video, social media campaigns and event materials.

Her approach fits naturally with ours: understand the people first, then figure out the best way to reach them.

And we cannot wait to see what we create together.
